Dr. Lanhua Men, Chief Executive Officer founded Gemlan Tech Inc. in 2009 in Ontario, with a bold mission: to foster sustainable development and to create a better and cleaner earth for future generations, by bringing electricity powered by the sun to millions of people worldwide.
By 2016, our patented technology helped generate over 43 GW of solar modules to thousands of customers across 158 countries, enough to meet the clean, green energy needs of approximately 8.9 million households. Though we always took pride in developing, manufacturing high-quality solar modules, we quickly learned the need for solar modules to become more efficient. In fact, traditional solar panels harness just 7% of the available energy from the light hitting it.
Oliver Elwin, a renowned solar engineer, joined our mission in late 2016 to create the next generation of solar technology with a focus of harnessing more energy per cm2 of module as well as designing and developing more versatile solar accessories for a wider array of applications.
Innovation has always been at the heart of our operation, innovation which will ultimately assist in powering the world with a much-reduced need for pollutants, allowing us to enjoy our daily life-demands more responsibly.
In 2018, development began on high-powered, low cost, flexible solar modules, removing the limitations of traditional solar panels and welcoming a world of opportunities for solar.
In 2020, our Development team successfully produced the first 750W stationary solar panel which reached production and distribution in February 2021. The panels with their high-power modules provide more power per single panel than any other on the market.

By 2025 we will successfully advance the power capabilities of both our flexible and micro solar panels, allowing for them to be used in more applications, while keeping our renowned reliability a top priority.
