Gemlan Tech Inc. have announced that they have been appointed by one of the world's largest smartphone and tablet manufacturers for the development of a revolutionary, high-output, low-charge solar power cell unit. This revolutionary cell requires only a low-charge to achieve full battery power and has the ability for a higher output performance than any existing solar cell.
The announcement was made from Gemlan Tech Inc.'s head office, based in Ontario, Canada. The initial agreement is for a period of 3 years, which will see the two companies create a purpose-built research and development facility near to Gemlan Tech's existing head office.
Neither company are prepared to disclose any further information in relation to the technology being used behind this new development. However, it has been known for some time that Gemlan Tech's advancements in micro flexible solar cells were revolutionary.
Mr. Raymond James, Investor Relations Officer of Gemlan Tech Inc. said, "This development partnership has been discussed between the two companies for some time now. Both parties understand that this type of improved solar cell performance is key to the future of handheld battery powered devices, smartphones and tablets, and we see this partnership with such a marquee brand within their sector as a perfect fit for Gemlan".
The key to this technological advancement starts with a process carried out at the very start of the solar cell's manufacture, although Gemlan Tech Inc. will not expand any further on this.
A spokesman for the partners echoed those of Mr. Raymond James saying, "As a premium brand portable electric device manufacturer, we strive to be ahead of our rivals and this partnership with Gemlan will allow us to pursue performance advancements with an emerging company who understand our sector's requirements".
