Gemlan Tech Inc., the Ontario, Canada based manufacturer of specialized solar panels are to develop solar panels for use on Coincident Speaker Technology's new range of Bluetooth speakers.
Gemlan Tech, who are widely regarded as one of the sector's most technologically advanced manufacturers of solar power panels, have been chosen to design and develop high-performance solar cell panels for application to the Bluetooth speaker range.
Coincident Speaker Technology, also based in Ontario, are one of the world's most bespoke manufacturers of high-end audio equipment. The company manufacture a range of amplifiers and speakers with their speakers costing up to CAD $30,000 a pair and their valve amplifiers costing up to CAD $10,000 a pair.
In keeping with their existing high-end product range the company are developing their first ever portable Bluetooth speaker range which will include solar panels to extend the operating performance of them.
Although detailed information of the project is being kept private between the two companies it is rumored that the solar cells to be used will be based around the very successful ultra-thin Gemlan U-Series Plus+™.
The product launch is anticipated to be at the Montréal Audio Fest, early next year.
